Agnieszka Wolna– a first soloist in the Poznań Grand Theatre’s ballet. She graduated from the Olga Sławska Ballet School in Poznań. She took part in numerous ballet concerts, contests and worshops. As a student, she had many artistic successes, such as dancing Mirta’s role in Adam’s Giselle in the Poznań Grand Theatre, she also won 3rd prize in the 10th National Dance Competition in Gdańsk (1997). She won a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture and Art. After graduating from ballet school, she was engaged by the ballet group of the Poznań Opera, initially as a coryphée, later promoted to soloist and first soloist.
She has danced most of the leading parts in the Poznań Grand Theatre. She danced Mirta in Giselle, Young and Widdow in Harnasie, Nymph in The Afternoon of a Faun, Living Jewel in Pan Twardowski, Maria Magdalena in The Rehearsal, Odette-Othile in Swan Lake, Kitri in Don Quixote, Hannah in The Count of Monte Christo, Good Witch in The Nutcracker, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Marina in Zorba the Greek, Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Marquise in The Dangerous Liaisons. She also created solo parts in choreographies by Conrad Drzewiecki, Marek Różycki, ballets to Krzysztof Penderecki’s music and other contemporary choreographies.
