People of dance

Angelika Gembiak – a ballet soloist in the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz. She was born in Gdańsk where she graduated from the Secondary Ballet School (2007). As a student, she made the following achievements: 3^rd place in the 13^th National Ballet Competition in Varna in 2006, participation in the International Ballet Competition in Brno in 2006 and 1^st place in the 15^th National Dance Competition in Gdańsk in 2007. In 2007–2009 she worked as a dancer in the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw. Since 2009 she has danced in ballet in the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, first as a coryphée, currently as a soloist. Her main parts in the Opera include Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs choreographed by Henryk Konwiński and Titania/Hyppolita (A Midsummer Night’s Dream choreographed by Karol Urbański).
