Anna Lipczyk – a soloist in the Polish National Ballet; she graduated from the Roman Turczynowicz Ballet School in Warsaw. She won a scholarship from the National Children’s Fund, and in 1994 the Second Senior Prize in the 8th National Dance Competition in Gdańsk. In 1994 she joined the Teatr Wielki Polish National Opera ballet, she danced first in corps de ballet, in 1995 as a coryphée and in 1996 as a soloist. There she created very expressive roles: Marina in Zorba the Greek, title role in Miss Julie, Antonina Miliukova in Tchaikovsky: The Mystery of Life and Death, Bride and Widow in Harnasie, Aegina in Spartacus. She also performed in classical repertoire at the Teatr Wielki: Lise’s Friend in La fille mal gard, Fairy of Sapphires and Fairy of the Courage in The Sleeping Beauty, Lady-in-waiting and Courtesan in Three Musketeers, Hungarian Princess and Four Swans in Swan Lake, Gamzatti, Pas d’action and D’jampée Soloist in La Bayadère, Queen of the Flowers in The Nutcracker, Tyrant’s Wife and Fryderyk’s Mother in Chopin, the Romantic Artist.
