Anna Nowak graduated from the Feliks Parnell Ballet School in Lodz and the Frederic Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw.
Anna Nowak is a dance artist, educator, rehearsal director and restager with over 20 years’ experience working internationally. Her extensive professional output includes leading educational and choreographic projects, masterclasses and workshops, as well as creating her own choreographic works. The diversity and global reach of her projects has given Anna the opportunity to develop her own autonomous creativity and reputation as a leader in the field. She undertakes this exciting role with the ballet company of the Lodz Grand Theatre with the ambition to take the company to its highest level of performance and further develop a beautiful and distinctive repertoire.
Anna danced with Company Wayne McGregor for nine years, performing on some of the most prestigious stages worldwide, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Asia and Europe, and participating in numerous films, installations and choreographic residences globally.
At Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera she performed as soloist in classical ballets such as La Bayadere, Swan Lake, and Sleeping Beauty, as well as neoclassical and contemporary repertory by George Balanchine, Jiri Kylian and Jacek Przybyłowicz.
After retiring as a professional dancer in 2016, Anna continued collaboration with Studio Wayne McGregor transferring excerpts of FAR and Atomos in London, Berlin and Amsterdam. Subsequently, she became rehearsal director and artistic coordinator of ŻfinMalta – National Dance Company, where she worked on 21 performances overt the course of three seasons, collaborating with such choreographers as, Emanuel Gat, Tania Carvalho, Roy Assaf, Paolo Mangiola and many others.
