Baśka Gwóźdź is a dancer and choreographer.She graduated from the College of Voice and Dance affiliated with the Musical Theatre in Gliwice, and has earned a degree in culture studies (specialisation: art management) from the University of Silesia in Katowice. She has also studied at the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków (Faculty of Dance Theatre in Bytom). She has been involved in the organisation of the CIRCULATION Dance Festival in Wrocław,and acted as assistant to the producer of the 2012 Deltebre Dansa Festival (Spain). She has been awarded an scholarship from the Alternative Dance Academy at the Art Stations Foundation in Poznań, interned at Teatr ZAR affiliated with the Grotowski Institute in Wrocław, and attended the Open University run by the Grotowski Institute in 2010-2013. She used to collaborate with the Capitol Musical Theatre in Wrocław, currently she works with the Art Color Ballet in Kraków and is a resident at the Art Stations Foundation/Old Brewery New Dance in Poznań (Solo Project residency programme, 2013). Her residency bore fruit in the form of a solo titledDestiny’s Child, which debuted in October 2013.
She dances, creates choreographies for theatre and runs dance workshops. She is a qualified Lomi Lomi Nui masseuse.
