Izabela Sokołowska – an outstanding dancer of the younger generation; a graduate of the Secondary Ballet School in Gdańsk. In 2002–2007 a dancer of Dutch National Ballet , since 2005 a soloist of that theatre. She played leading roles in the major ballet pieces, among others Clara in The Nutcracker.
As a dancer, she worked with the most outstanding world choreographers of the 20th and 21th century, such us: Ulisses Dove, William Forsythe or Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
Currently she studies ballet pedagogy at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
She joined the Sopot Dance Theatre (STT) since 2011. As a dancer, she took part in a performance of the group FAST ACT, and as a dancer and co-choreographer – in DALI (2011). The latest premiere of STT entitled Habanera is scheduled for 2012.
