Olga Marczak – in 1988 – 1996 she studied at the State School of Choreography of the Republic of Belarus. In 1997 she came to Poland and was offered a post of first soloist in the Opera Nova’s ballet in Bydgoszcz. In 2007 she won the Jan Kiepura Musical Theatre Award for “the best dancer”. In Bydgoszcz she played many outstanding parts, including Princess in Puss in Boots, a ballet by Bogdan Pawłowski, Kitri / Dryad in Don Quixote, a ballet by Ludwig A. L. Minkus, Evil Queen / Snow White in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, ballet by Bogdan Pawłowski, Aurora/Lilac Fairy/Florina in Sleeping Beauty, in ballet by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, La Sylphide /George Sand in Chopin in Nohant, a ballet by Marek Zajączkowski, Bogini Diamentów, Wschodu i Lotosu in the ballet Pan Twardowski by Ludomir Różycki, Fairy in Cinderella by Sergei Prokofiev, Elpis in a contemporary ballet The Captive Mind choreographed by Robert Bondara, Titania /Hippolyta in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, a ballet by Karol Urbański. |
