Paulina Sałek – dancer, teacher. She graduated from the Secondary Ballet School in Gdańsk. She also graduated in Law and Administration from the University of Gdańsk (2007) and in postgraduate Culture Management from the University of Łódź (2009).
In 2003–2006 she collaborated with Tricity Movement Vividness Theatre – Des sentiments, Unintended (choreography A. Azarkevitch) and the Baltic Opera’s ballet Giselle (choreography S. Gidel). In 2006–2009 she worked for the Grand Theatre in Łódź and the Musical Theatre in Łódź – Cinderella, The Sleeping Beauty, Bolero (choreography G. Madia), Carmen (choreography D. Gutek-Woźniak), Amadeus, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (choreography G. Veredon). She also collaborated with Nowy (New) Theatre in Słupsk – Galaktyka Szekspir (directed by M. Grota, choreography by A, Azarkevitch), Amadeus directed by Z. Kułagowski, choreography by A. Azarkevitch.
She twice won a scholarship from the Polish Children’s Fund (1999 and 2000) and once from the Ministry of Culture and Art (1999). She participated in the International Competition for Young Dancers “Prix de Lausanne” (2000). The winner of the Wojciech Wiesiołłowski National Dance Competition (2nd Prize in 1997 and 1st Prize in 1999), and of the International Festival “Youth” in Moscow (2003).
Currently she is a lecturer at the Art Department/Dance of the University of Humanities and Economics in Łódź.
