Dancers of Poznań’s Teatr Wielki and Dantzaz Konpainia of San Sebastian are presenting A few brief sequences in Jacek Przybyłowicz’s choreography at the contemporary dance festival Copenhagen Summer Dance 2013, taking place in Copenhagen on 5-11 August. The performance is part of a three-part evening Black & Whitefeaturing pieces by three different choreographers: Rami Be’er, Itzik Galili and Jacek Przybyłowicz.
A few brief sequences is set to the music of Baroque composer Marin Marais and uses video projections by Katarzyna Kozyra. Both the dance and videos have been given a Baroque feel. An important role is played by the music, performed by Jordi Savalla, constituting a historical counterpoint for the contemporary performance.
