The presentation of works submitted for the Sixth 3… 2… 1… DANCE! Choreographic Competition, organised by the Nowa Huta Culture Centre (NCK) and the Cracow Choreographic Centre (KCC), were held on 12 March 2016 at the NCK in Cracow. After watching 13 presentations, jurors Jos Baker, Leszek Bzdyl, Karolina Garbacik and Agata Moląg awarded the following prizes:
Karolina Garbacik
An award of 300 EUR for Enrico Paglialunga?s ?A Step Towards…?.
For authentic movement which is rooted in the body, and for harmony and consistency in creating the performance.
An award of 250 EUR for Yohan Zeitoun?s ?Pagan Poetry?.
For an interesting and consistently developed idea, and for lightness and fun.
Jos Baker
An award of 300 EUR for Katarzyna Gorczyca and Oskar Malinowski?s ?#DBRMPP?.
An evocative, funny and touching piece. Its clever construction draws the audience into the characters? world and narrative.
An award of 250 EUR for Yohan Zeitoun?s ?Pagan Poetry?.
A surprising and interesting idea which reveals ample potential for further development. The piece encourages the audience to create a part of the narrative while maintaining balance between reality and imagination.
Leszek Bzdyl
An award of 300 EUR for Anna Kamińska and Patryk Durski?s ?5dm3?.
For creating dialogue, and for the quality of movement and dance.
An award of 250 EUR for Enrico Paglialunga?s ?A Step Towards…?.
For creating an atmosphere of a dance etude.
Agata Moląg
Non-cash prize ? participation in contemporary dance workshops during the SPACER Contemporary Dance Festival 2016 for Katarzyna Gorczyca and Oskar Malinowski?s ?#DBRMPP?.
For dialogue, a strong stage expression and consistently leading the characters through the world of kitsch and the text?s bumpy language.
Non-cash prize ? participation in contemporary dance workshops during the SPACER Contemporary Dance Festival 2016 for Anna Kamińska and Patryk Durski?s ?5dm3?.
For power of technique that has not destroyed the ease of performance.
The audience award of 200 EUR was awarded for Yohan Zeitoun?s ?Pagan Poetry?.
