The Polish Dance Theatre (PTT) will hold the 22nd edition of its annual dance workshops. On August 22-29, Ewa Wycichowska?s company will host the well-established Dancing Poznań event, which will include the 22nd International Contemporary Dance Workshops and the 12th International Dance Theatres Festival ?Space?. This year?s edition of the workshops will include classes employing 40 different techniques, from contemporary dance through ballet, Broadway jazz, hip-hop and pantomime. The Dancing Poznan schedule contains a number of novelties. Participants will be able to attend urban dance, underground, bodily awareness and contemporary dance workshops rooted in the PTT style. The workshops will also include pedagogue of New York?s Battery Dance Company who will host the Coaching Project concluding with an open exhibition performance. In the grain of the event?s tradition, a range of special workshops addressed to the residents of Poznan has been planned as well.
The list of pedagogue will also include dancers from such countries as the USA, Cuba and Germany, among others. Dancing Poznań is an event addressed to everyone: there is no age limit, and no physical preparation is required. Participants will be free to choose their techniques, pedagogues, groups and class hours.
