In April this year, Bytom hosted another edition of the Polish Dance Platform. This bi-annual celebration of Polish dance strives to present and promote some of the most intriguing dance productions developed in Poland or choreographed by Polish artists abroad. The Poznań audience is more than familiar with the event, whose three editions (2008, 2010, and 2012) were held in Poznań in collaboration with the Art Stations Foundation by Grażyna Kulczyk and the Zamek Culture Centre. Since 2013, the Polish Dance Platform has been organised by the Institute of Music and Dance in Warsaw, with the festival hosted by a different Polish city every two years. This coming autumn will give the Poznań audience a unique opportunity to see several pieces presented at this year?s edition of the Polish Dance Platform in Bytom. The exciting weekend of presentations of Polish contemporary dance pieces has been organised by the Art Stations Foundation and the Institute of Music and Dance, in collaboration with Aula Artis.

As part of the Polish Dance Platform ? encore! review, Aula Artis and Studio Słodownia +3 will host presentations of five pieces (5-8 October 2017): Bataille and the Dawn of News Days by Anna Godowska and Sławek Krawczyński, Death: Exercises and Variations by Renata Piotrowska-Auffret, Why Don’t You Like Sadness by Katarzyna Chmielewska and the  Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre, This Is a Musical by Karol Tymiński oraz Stalking Paradise by the Lublin Dance Theatre.
