The Festival of the Atelier of the Polish Dance Theatre will be held on 22–24 February. It is already the sixth occasion to see the results of artistic exploration of the Polish Dance Theatre’s young artists. The outcome of several months’ work of six young choreographers of PDT will be presented at the Theatre of the Eighth Day in Poznań. Dancers of the Atelier have prepared as many as 5 first night performances this year, inspired by such issues as: public space, town, status and role of the Other, situation of women in patriarchal conditions. The 6th Festival of the Atelier of the PDT features: Hello, Stranger! (choreography by Paweł Malicki), Planets (idea by Lukas Lepold, Tereza Lepold), Public Space (choreography by Karol Miękina), Maathai (choreography by Niels Claes), Ukradkiem (choreography by Tomasz Pomersbach, Katarzyna Rzetelska). On the last day of the Festival, the second episode of the anniversary project The Polish Dance Theatre yesterday and today: Krzesany and other dances (scenario and moderated by: Ewa Wycichowska) will be also premiered. Dominika Antkowiak and Ryszard Baranowski are the special guest of the event.
