Ballet lovers love international ballet galas. That is why galas are often hosted by the world?s leading venues. They are a wonderful opportunity to feast your eyes on virtuoso performances of the most precious fragments of classical ballets and gems of contemporary choreography. Warsaw has not seen such a a gala for years. To cater for the audience?s needs, the Polish National Ballet led by Krzysztof Pastor is now mounting one for the first time in its history. The gala will be held on 23 February at 7 pm at the main stage of Teatr Wielki ? Polish National Opera.
The gala has already promised to be an audience hit, and thus it will also be screened outside of the theatre at the Polish National Opera?s vod platform (vod.teatrwielki.pl).
The gala will feature the star of the Royal Ballet, Marianela Nú?ez; first soloist of the Bayerische Staatsballett, Osiel Gouneo; first soloists of the La Scala Theatre Ballet, Nicoletta Manni and Claudio Coviello; and the hugely talented winner of the Gold Medal in the last Moscow International Ballet Competition, Evelina Godunova with her partner Yevgeniy Khissamutdinov.
The evening will also feature the audience?s favourite artists of the Polish National Ballet, who will perform the highlights of their classical and contemporary repertoire, including Krzysztof Pastor?s Bolero danced to Maurice Ravel?s sensational music. Taking to the stage will be our first soloists: Chinara Alizade, Yuka Ebihara, Mai Kageyama, Maria Żuk, Paweł Koncewoj, Dawid Trzensimiech, Maksim Woitiul, along with many more dancers of our company.
