On Saturday, 22 November (3:30 pm) Kasia Wolińska will show Hi Mary presents: oh sweet lord at the Works at Work festival in Copenhagen (Lille Carl, Danserhalle, Pasteursvej 20).

?and the hungry people will come from all around to listen to the joyful announcement. The sweet ?hi? will be heard around the whole valley and will be carried through the seas by hundreds of the white rabbits. And the earth will shake out of the sweet sweet excitement. And great will be the patience of the crowd. And sweetly will it be rewarded. When She will come. If only? (come, there?s gonna be food)

Kasia Wolinska was born in Gdansk. Kasia has one white rabbit and one grey rabbit. They live separately. She?s one of the leaders of the international organization the Church of the Banana. Since January 2013 she has devoted herself to the Hi Mary practice. She has had many great teachers. Kaisa currently studies in Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin and has a bright future ahead of her.

How many internships and unpaid jobs have we invested in our future? Should we gratefully accept lousy contracts because we love our job? Is the solo artist her own worst boss? ?Solo works? is the first of three international festivals in the series WORKS AT WORK investigating artistic labor as a form of life. Accepting that the charismatic solo artist could be the role model for every self-managing freelancer in today?s creative capitalism, we examine the production of aesthetics and look for solidary acts. WORKS AT WORK has invited renowned artists who each have developed a particular solo practice, where issues like togetherness, fatherhood, authorship, aging and subtle racism find their way on stage. The festival is thought as an international contribution to the Scandinavian performing arts debate, but also to a broader discourse on immaterial labor, project work and the production of commons.
