The 16th Kielce Dance Festival (16?30 April 2016) will open on Saturday April 16 at 7 pm with the Kielce Dance Theatre?s premiere of a choreographic evening titled Wibracje (Vibrations). The evening will include Łk 10, 29 (Kto jest moim bliźnim?) / Luke 10:29 (Who Is My Neighbour?), choreographed by Robert Bondara, and Poza horyzont (Beyond the Horizon) by Jacek Przybyłowicz. Both pieces utilize the formula of collective dance theatre based on relations and intentions emerging between dancers, with no linear narration. They are marked by intense physicality and expression of movement, inspired by contemporary dance techniques and styles.

Jacek Przybyłowicz ? choreographer, graduate of the State Ballet School and Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music (now, Fryderyk Chopin University of Music) in Warsaw (ballet pedagogy). In 2009?2014 he was the head of ballet at the Wielki Theatre in Poznań. He started his stage career at the Wielki Theatre in Warsaw. In 1991 he left Poland and for many years danced in Germany and Israel. For many years he collaborated with the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, where Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, Jiři Kylian, Emanuel Gat, Rami Beer and other renowned choreographers have produced their works. Since 2002, he has produced his performances in Poland and abroad, for example, Naszyjnik gołębicy (The Dove?s Necklace), Barocco, Jesień ? Nuembir (Autumn ? Nuembir), Alpha Kryonia Xe, Kilka krótkich sekwencji (A Few Brief Sequences), III Symfonia ?Pieśń o nocy? (Third Symphony ?Song of the Night?), Sześć skrzydeł aniołów (Six Wings of Angels). He won first award at the Second Polish Choreographic Competition and has been awarded Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture. He was awarded a Ministry of Culture and National Education scholarship three times.
Robert Bondara ? dancer, choreographer and teacher, artist of the Polish National Ballet, graduate of the Feliks Parnell State Ballet School in Łódź, Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where he currently works was a teacher, and of the Warsaw School of Economics. Initially, he performed in the Łódź Musical Theatre, later he moved to the Wielki Theatre in Poznań. In 2005 he joined the ballet company of the Teatr Wielki ? Polish National Opera in Warsaw, and in 2008 he started to collaborate with Aleksandra Dziurosz?s Warsaw Dance Theatre. In 2011 he was a guest at the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, where he staged his ballet titled Zniewolony umysł (The Captive Mind) inspired by Czesław Miłosz?s book of the same title, with music by Philip Glass and Wojciech Kilar. That year, he created a performance for the Polish National Ballet, Persona, with music by Aldona Nawrocka, Arvo Pärt and Paweł Szymański. The year 2013 saw a world premiere of Čiurlionis, a performance Bondara realised for the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Vilnius. In 2014, he created two performances, Cudowny mandaryn (The Miraculous Mandarin) and Ognisty ptak (The Firebird), for the Wrocław Opera. That year he also realised Nevermore…? for the Polish National Ballet, which was presented in a performance titled 1914, along with Jiří Kylián?s Soldiers? Mass and The Green Table by Kurt Jooss. The premiere was held as part of the 6th Days of Dance in the Teatr Wielki ? Polish National Opera in Warsaw. In March 2016, he produced his latest choreography, Didi and Gogo, for Company E from Washington. It was presented in the Terrace Theater at John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington.
Agata Roguska was born in 1992 in Warsaw. She holds a scholarship of the Stage Design Department of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she obtained a BA in the stage design studio under Marek Chowaniec. Now she is working on her MA in the opera stage design studio under Paweł Dobrzycki. She debuted in the Wrocław Opera, co-designing stage set and costumes for Rodion Shchedrin?s ballet Anna Karenina with choreography by Bożena Klimczak, which premiered in February 2016. For several years she has collaborated with the Wielki Theatre ? National Opera in Warsaw where she was an intern in the stage set studio and helped produce stage sets and costumes for premieres. In the 2015/2015 season, she was an assistant to Marie-Jeanne Lecca, working on the costumes for Straszny dwór (The Haunted Manor, dir. David Pountney). She collaborates with young choreographers and dancers of the Polish National Ballet. She designed lighting for Viktor Banka?s choreography presented during the 5th and 6th choreographic workshops Kreacje (Creations). She is a fan of opera, ballet and Far Eastern culture and art. Her hobbies include graphic design, photography and nature.
