On 16-22 August 2014 Poznań will host the 11th International Dance Theatres Festival, welcoming companies from Israel, Poland, and Iceland, including the renowned Iceland Dance Company, to its two venues: MP2 and Scena Wspólna. The festival is part of Dancing Poznań 2014 held by the Polish Dance Theatre.

 

Every year the International Dance Theatres Festival draws scores of dance theatre aficionados to Poznań, arriving to watch performances but also to take part in International Workshops of Contemporary Dance.   

 

This year?s festival line-up is: Noy Zuk (Israel), Iceland Dance Company (Iceland), Katrín Gunnarsdottir and Melkorki Sigridur Magnusdottir (Iceland), Sopot Dance Theatre, Kielce Dance Theatre, Polish Dance Theatre (presenting productions created as part of the Atelier project as well) and graduates of the Bytom-based Dance Theatre Department of the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków. On the last day of the festival, participants of Coaching Project will showcase the outcomes of their creative efforts carried out under Stain Danielso, member of the Jo Str?mgren Kompani (Norway).

Festival tickets will go on sale on 15 July 2014 on http://www.ptt-poznan.pl at PLN 30 (regular price) or PLN 15 (concession for participants of Dancing Poznań 2014).
