We are pleased to announce that the choreographers? residency project SOLO PROJEKT PLUS 2017, run by the Old Brewery New Dance / Art Stations Foundation by Grażyna Kulczyk in Poznań, selected Przemek Kamiński, Krystyna Lama Szydłowska and Kasia Wolińska as this year?s resident artists. Artistic coaching for the three will be provided by Guy Cools, dance dramaturge, professor at the Arts in Society research institute in Tilburg, and guest professor at Ghent University in Belgium. The pieces created as part of the residencies will premiere on 30 September 2017.

About the residents:

 

 

Przemek Kamiński is a performer and choreographer. In 2016, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance, Context, Choreography at HZT Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin. His latest pieces include So Emotional (in collaboration with Marta Ziółek and Mateusz Szymanówka; presented at the Nowy Theatre in Warsaw) and Nowe nieskończone solo na obuwie sportowe, czas przeszły i grupę osób [New Unfinished Solo for Sports Shoes, Past Tense and Group of People] (in collaboration with Mateusz Szymanówka as part of the Let?s Dance exhibition presented at the Art Stations Foundation in Poznań. His other works have been presented, among others, at the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw, Jan Tarsin City Art Gallery in Kalisz, Labirynt Gallery in Lublin, Art Stations Foundation in Poznań, Art Museum in Łódź, Hamburger Bahnhof Museum fur Gegenwart in Berlin, PQ Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space in Prague and the Malta Festival in Poznań. He was a resident with the I.C.I./CCN in Montpellier and the International Visegrad Fund (art quarter budapest, Budapest), and participated in numerous research projects, including the Research Academy (Zurich University of the Arts) led by Scott deLahunta and Karin Harrasser; the 21st edition of the Artists Research Laboratory (Fondazione Antonio Ratti, Como) with visiting professors Yvonne Rainer and Andrea Kleine or the Choreographic Laboratory: Borderbodies with MegStuart (Tanzwerkstatt, Munich). In 2012, he received a scholarship from the Alternative Dance Academy of the Art Stations Foundation in Poznań. Since 2014, he has regularly collaborated with the Berlin-based choreographer Isabelle Schad. He has also performed in the projects of such artists as

Juan Dominguez Rojo, Krzysztof Garbaczewski, Nicole Seiler, Kirstine Kyhl Andersen, Harakiri Farmers (Dominika Knapik, Wojciech Klimczyk), Julian Weber, among others.

 

Krystyna Lama Szydłowska is a graduate of the Poznań School of Social Sciences (Faculty of Arts, major: dance) and a recipient of a scholarship from the Alternative Dance Academy 2015 affiliated by the Art Stations Foundation by Grażyna Kulczyk. She currently studies choreography at the Academy of Music in Łódź (MFA studies). Her collaborations include Isabelle Schad (Collective Jumps), Dalija Aćin Thelander and Keren Levi (Up Side down), Jan Komasa and Mikołaj Mikołajczyk (Xenophony: A Symphony for the Other), Marta Górnicka (Hymn do miłości), and Janusz Orlik, Witold Jurewicz, Fuzja Theatre and many others. Since 2009, she has held dance classes and workshops for children, youth, adult and senior dancers. She is actively engaged in a number of voluntary activities.  Krystyna Lama Szydłowska has participated in dance workshops and coaching projects, amongothers with Wim Vandekeybus, Rosalind Crisp, Peter Pleyer, Colleen Thomas Young, Rebecca Lazier, Jared Gradinger, Angela Schubot). She also creates her own choreographies (How to growRytm przestrzeni [Spatial Rhythm], Pamiętniki z wakacji [Vacation Diaries], Pogłos [Reverb]). She works at the crossroads (Długi stół ? posiłek performatywny [Long Table ? Performative Meal] in collaboration with Dawid Dąbrowski). Together with Zofia Tomczyk, she established the KINESTREFA Foundation to jointly create, learn and share their knowledge with others (Banalnie łatwy tri? and Syrenada). Her She has always lived and worked in Poznań, where she has co-created Miejsce Kultury ? Centrum Amarant since 2015. She explores movement for infinity, but most of all for its authenticity. 

 

Kasia Wolińska was born in Gdańsk. She graduated in choreography and dance techniques from the Academy of Music in Łódź. She also holds degrees in ethnology and cultural anthropology from the University of Łódź, and choreography from HZT Berlin. Named the Dancewebber of 2015, she has contributed (since 2013) to the Hi Mary project, which has been presented in Berlin, Gdańsk, Kalisz, Łódź, Warsaw, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. She was an artist-in-residence with Centro Selva in Peru (2014) and the transeuropa 2015 festival in Germany. She participated in the Global Practice Sharing programme ( Movement Research/ Art Stations Foundation in collaboration with the Institute of Music and Dance) in New York. Her collaborations include such artists as Rosalind Crisp, Vincent Bozek, Julia Plawgo, Agatą Siniarska, Lea Martini, Martin Hansen, Ivo Serra, Eva Tanko, Diego Agullo, Tatiana Kamieniecka, Ula Zerek, Pere Faura, among others.
