On 12 June 2013 the results of the National Competition for Young Choreographers Lutosławski and Dance were announced.
The following participants duly submitted their choreographic conceptions for the competition:

All the submissions were set to Lutosławski’s Musique funèbre.
The jury, including Angelika Rabizo (director of Szczecin Opera), Karol Urbański (ballet director at Szczecin Opera) and Jerzy Wołosiuk (usical director of Szczecin Opera), decided that the best work was submitted by Kaya Kołodziejczyk.
As none of the works submitted was set to the other suggested piece – Little suite, the jury decided to ask Piotr Czubowicz to create one, in recognition of his artistic achievements so far.
Both choreographies will premiere on 16 November 2013.
The project is co-funded by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the programme “Lutosławski 2013 – Promesa”, implemented by the Institute of Music and Dance.
