On June 22 and June 29, the Polish Dance Theatre invites audiences for its two premieres that will be presented within the framework of the 29. Malta Festival Poznań. The first premiere entitled Investigation, choreographed by Mikołaj Mikołajczyk is a documentary performance that depicts the beginnings of the Polish Dance Theatre. The second premiere ? 45 choreographed by Jacek Przybyłowicz ? will take the audience on an interactive journey rich in themes related to time and to life paths.
In the season 2018/2019, Polish Dance Theatre celebrates the 45th anniversary of its establishment and artistic activity. This anniversary culminates during Poznań Malta Festival 2019. Both premieres circulate around the theme of the Polish Dance Theatre?s birth and present it through the lens of history and journey.

Premiere 22 June 2019, 21:00, Poznań International Fair ? MP3 Hall
The performance is created within the Choreographic Commissions Programme 2019 organised by Institute of Music and Dance. The title of the performance refers to the number of Polish Dance Theatre?s artistic seasons completed since its foundation by Conrad Drzewiecki in 1973. The ?wandering? structure of the piece is closely related to the history of the Polish Dance Theatre, which, from the very beginning of its existence, did not have its own stage. 45 is a site-specific performance designed for the MP3 Hall Poznań International Fair. The performance makes use of fragments of chronicles, reviews, descriptions and academic publications of the Polish Dance Theatre from the period 1973-2018.
