Anna Gruszka – soloist, teacher, assistant choreographer and head of the Arts Department of the Polish Dance Theatre with which she has worked since 1993.
She graduated from the Ballet School in Łódź and the University of Music in Warsaw (in dance pedagogy). In 1983 – 1993 she was a ballet soloist of the Grand Theatre in Łódź. She played leading parts in performances of Gray Veredon (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Amadeus and Romeo and Juliet) , Antal Fodor (Reheresal), Giselle by Corally and Perrot, and The Nutcraker by Śliwa and Cinderella by Fokine. She was the Chosen One The Rite of Spring by Ewa Wycichowska, she also danced in Dangerous Liaisons,Tango with Lady M.and…a ja tańczęof the same choreographer and in Pół dnia Północyby Mats Eko andWo – men w pomidorachby Yossi Berg.
She is a classical dance teacher at the Secondary Ballet School in Poznań. She is also a contemporary dance and barre au sol teacher. She gives classes at the International Contemporary Dance Workshops in Poznań.
In 2011 she was awarded a Silver Medal Gloria Artis by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage
