Anna Krzyśków is a dancer, educator, choreographer, and stage movement director. She graduated from the State Ballet School in Łódź and the Department of Music Education of the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, where she majored in ballet pedagogy.

She began her professional career with the ballet company of the Grand Theatre in Łódź, where she was named 1st ballet soloist in 1991. She danced over 25 solo parts with the Łódź company in Poland and abroad, including several principal parts, among others Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream choreographed by Gray Veredon, Snow White in Snow White choreographed by Witold Borkowski, Scheherazade in Scheherazade based on Mikhail Fokine’s choreography, She in Moods choreographed by Roman Komassa, Marina the Widow in Zorba the Greek and Anna in Streets choreographed by Lorca Massine, Juliet in Pas de trois and Woman in From the Life of a Doll choreographed by Czesław Bilski, Mary Magdalene in The Rehearsal choreographed by Antal Fodor, and Lady Macbeth/Hekate in Macbeth choreographed by Jerzy Makarowski..

In 1991, Krzyśków began her (ongoing) collaboration with choreographer Lorca Massine, serving as the principal assistant in his choreographies, as well as a reconstructionist and documenter of the works of his father, Leonid Myasin (Léonide Massine). As an assistant choreographer and director, she has also collaborated with the likes of Gray Veredon, Roman Komassa, Sławomir Woźniak, Tomasz Konina, Jack Przybyłowicz, and Joshua Legge.

She has created choreographies and directed stage movement not only for ballet productions but also operatic pieces, e.g. in Candide, Lovers from the Valldemosa Monastery, Polovtsian Dances from the opera Prince Igor for the Ljubljana Music Festival and the 55th anniversary concert of the Grand Theatre in Łódź. She has also collaborated with a number of actors and athletes.

Krzyśków has participated in the production of 50 premieres for leading stages and ensembles in Poland and abroad, including the National Opera in Warsaw, Grand Theatre in Łódź, Opera di Roma, Teatro alla Scala, Opera National de Paris, Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre, Teatro Filarmonico Fondazione Arena di Verona, Wiener Staatsoper, Greek National Opera, Cairo Opera House, National Dance Company Madrid, Bayerishes Staatsballett Munich, Birmingham Royal Ballet, Teatro di San Carlo, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens des Montreal, and the Boston Ballet, among many others.

She has worked with such prominent directors, choreographers and ballet directors as Plamen Kartaloff, Micha Van Hoecke, Tomasz Konina, Brigitte Lefevre, Alexei Ratmansky, Ewa Wycichowska, Igor Yebra, Marcia Haydee, Eleonora Abbagnato, Edward Clug, Jose Carlo Martinez, as well as such dancers as Vladimir Vasiliev, Irek Mukhamedov, Kader Belarbi, Maksim Voitiul, Monique Laudieres, Agnes Letestu, Rafaelle Paganini, Maria Alexandrova, Svetlana Lunkina, Jose Carlo Martinez, Lucia Lacarra, and Natalia Osipov.

In 2008, Krzyśków was named head of the ballet company at the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk, and between 2008 and 2011 she directed the ballet company at the Grand Theatre in Łódź.

As a pedagogue and lecturer, her collaborations include the Feliks Parnell State Ballet School in Łódź, where she has taught contemporary dance and choreography, the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź, where she lectured on classical dance and national dances, as well as non-public dance schools in Łódź and Cracow.
