Daniela Komędera-Miśkiewicz dancer, choreographer, actress. She graduated from the the Dance Theatre Department in Bytom faculty of the AST National Academy of Theatre Arts in Cracow. She cooperated with Joe Alter, Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre, Lubelski Dance Theatre, Agnieszka Glińska, Amareya Theatre, Weronika Pelczyńska, Kaya Kołodziejczyk, Dominik Wiak, Maciej Kuźmiński, Quan Bui Ngok, Wojciech Mochniej, Agata Dyczko, Katarzyna Kania, Piotr Stanek, Dmytri Grynov, Brian Michels, Jacek Łumiński.

 

She performed in Storm (2010) in Deutsches Nationaltheater and Staatskapelle Weimar. Since 2012, together with artists from Germany, she has co-created Heimsuchung/Visitation (20122015) and received the Golden Mask prize for choreography, granted by the Marshall of the Silesian Voivodeship. She danced in the following performances choreographed by Maciej Kuźmiński: Room 40 (Audience Prize at the Polish Dance Platform 2014 in Lublin), Difference and Repetition (2014), presented in Poland and abroad.

 

 She co-created the performance They Robbed My Folding-bike (together with Katarzyna Kania and Piotr Stanek), created in Club Żak in Gdańsk within the framework of the Residency/Premiere 2014 programme. The performance was also presented within the framework of Dance Scene Studio, Share Your Talent programme, SPACER Festival in Cracow, Festival Dei Due Mondi in Spoleto (Italy). Three years later (2017), also within the Residency/Premiere programme, Komędera, together with Dmytri Grynov, created the performance
I goIdeepe/andence.

 

She continues co-operating with Amareya Theatre & Guests and featured in such performances as Kantor_Traces: COLLAGE and Nomadic Woman that were presented in Poland, Japan, Greenland (2015-2018).

 

Together with Dada von Bzdülöw Theatre, she also co-created the performance Transmigrazione di fermenti damore (2014-2019). She performed in Passages (2017) choreographed by Jacek Łumiński and produced in the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures in LublinCentrum.

 

As a performer, she also features in the performance Four directed by Marcin Henrich (2018) a co-production of Amareya Theatre and A Part Theatre (presented, among others, at the A Part Festival 2018 in Katowice and at the Polish Dance Platform 2019 in Gdańsk).

 

She cooperates also with the W&M Physical Theatre and features in We_selle choreographed by Wojciech Mochniej (2018). She collaborated also with the Polish director Agata Dyczko and participated in the following performances directed by Dyczko: Catfish Bay (20172018, Ochota Theatre), Robo i osobo (2018, Common Table, Powszechny Theatre).

 

Black is the Colour (chor. Quan Bui Ngoc) is a performance that she co-created within the residency programme at the Cracow Choreographic Centre (the performance was presented at the BalletOFFFestival, Nowa Huta Cultural Centre) and in cooperation with the Institute of Music and Dance, within the framework of the Choreographic Commissions Programme 2018. As a performer, she also features in Stanisław Moniuszkos Halka (Vilnius version) directed by Agnieszka Glińska and choreographed by Weronika Pelczyńska (the Grand Theatre National Opera in Warsaw/Podlasie Opera and Philharmonics in Białystok, 2019).

 

In 2020, the performance entitled Manhattan (2019), which Komędera-Miśkiewicz co-created with Dominika Wiak, won the open-call of the Polish Dance Network, as well as the contest TEATR POLSKA, organised by the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute. It also entered the finals of the 3rd Contest for the Best Independent Theatre Performance The Best Off.

 

In 2013, she received an artistic scholarship granted by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and a scholarship granted by the Mayor of the City of Bielsko-Biała. She is also the holder of the Alternative Dance Academy granted by the Art Stations Foundation by Grażyna Kulczyk in the Old Brewery, in Poznań (2015).

 

She performed at festivals in Brazil, Holland, Japan, Greenland, Sweden, Russia, Germany, Italy, Austria, Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus and others.
