Paulina Jaksim is a dancer. She studied at the Roman Turczynowicz Ballet School in Warsaw, which gave her opportunities to appear on the stage of the Teatr Wielki Polish National Opera in Warsaw dancing in Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and La Dolce Vita. She took part in the Polish National Ballet Competition in Gdańsk (coaches: Ewa Głowacka and Zofia Rudnicka). In 2012 she graduated in choreography from CODARTS, University of Arts in Rotterdam, where she danced in choreographies of Natcho Duato, Regina van Berkel, Jerome Mayer and Isabelle Chaffaud, Mauro Bigonzetti, Roni Havner and Guy Weizman, Nadia Perlov, as well as Itzik Galili.
She currently studies choreography and dance theory at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
In Sepetember 2012 she joined the Polish Dance Theatre. She has danced in Minus 2 (choreographed by Ohad Naharin), The Unknown Niewiadoma (choreographed by Paweł Malicki), Maathai (choreographed by Niels Claes), Public Space (choreographed by Karol Miękina), the prologue of the jubilee project XL. Polish Dance Theatre Yesterday and Today. Conrad Drzewiecki in memoriam: Artists Yesterday and Today, Wish You Were Here (choreographed by Ewa Wycichowska), and Forty (choreographed by Jo Strmgren).
In the 2015/2016 season, she was the artistic director of the Caro Dance Theatre in Siedlce. She is the author of eXordial, Sailor and Anthill.
Since 2017, she co-creates the informal artistic collective Hashimotowiksa, with which she realized two premieres: Uran Uran directed by Wojtek Kucharczyk and premiered at the Tauron New Music Festival in Katowice (2018) and Afterhuman Afterparty,premiered at the Audioriver Festival in Płock (2019).
