International Meeting of Live Arts CROSSROADS (since 1994) organised by Janusz Marek, has an interdisciplinary character. It presents works of artists operating at the crossroads of various fields of art – theatre, dance and visual arts. Eminent artists from abroad are invited to participate in the festival (each year from different countries or regions) together with artists from Warsaw, to confront various aesthetics. Irrespective of its wider formula, artists creating the history of world dance, from Kazuo Ohno, Pina Bausch, Susanne Linke, Mathilde Monnier, Anna Teresa de Keersmaeker and Trisha Brown to Emio Greco and Christiano Rizzo, take part in the festival. Performances take place in the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, as well as on theatrical stages (Studio Theatre, Teatr Wielki).
