Wolna strefa is a cultural association aimed at promotion of dance. Its most important project to date is the website, managed since 2000 by Sandra Wilk (Moderndance.pl), documenting current dance events in Poland (by Polish and foreign artists). In 2003 wolna strefa published five paper editions of the Strefa Tańca magazine, the second (after Taniec) Polish magazine dedicated to the art of dance and the first dedicated to contemporary dance. Since 2007 wolna strefa has run a dance digitalization project. In 2010 another large project in this field, Dance Catalogue (Dancecatalog.pl), aimed at collecting information on all dance groups in Poland, was set up. Both websites were combined at Polishdance.pl.
