As part of the Performance TV programme developed by the Centre for Contemporary Art ? Ujazdowski Castle, American choreographer Jeremy Wade will hold two presentations of his latest piece, Between Sirens, a black comedy resulting from the artist?s interest in the lack of care for others in a world of untenable violence, environmental degradation, and heightened economic abstraction. Wade has invited Berlin-based artists to join him in a project informed by the politics of care. Between Sirens is a call to arms in response to appreciate this category and ensure survival despite constant calls for self-exploitation. The piece is a political fiction, a broken TV show, a mourning ritual, a political movement, a how-to guide for those who need to reenact forms of support that have been lost, and a machine for reproducing everything a person could possibly need in order to feel loved and cared for. In what seems to be a never ending global chorus of crisis, we offer a little pause, an oasis if you will, for those in need of a little support, join us, Between Sirens.
The presentations will take place on 9-10 December (8 pm) at the Laboratory of the Centre for Contemporary Art ? Ujazdowski Castle (Wojciech Krukowski Auditorium). Admission to the performances is ticket-based.

Jeremy Wade is a performer, performance maker, teacher, and curator. He received a Bessie Award for his first evening length work titled Glory at Dance Theater Workshop, New York City in 2006. Since then, he lives in Berlin and works in close collaboration with HAU Hebbel am Ufer. Recently,Wade has created Together Forever, Death Asshole Rave Video, and DrawnOnward. In combination with a rigorous teaching practice, Wade is busy with the curation, production, and subsequent hosting of ecstatic event, series, festivals, and symposia, such as Politics of Ecstasy, The Great Big Togetherness, or Who Cares.
Between Sirens has been developed as part of The Battlefield Nurse, a production by Jeremy Wade in coproduction with HAU Hebbel am Ufer (Berlin) and Gessnerallee (Zürich). Supported with funds from the Hauptstadtkulturfonds and the SenatsverwaltungfürKultur und Europa. Between Sirens is commissioned in frames of PTV: Performance TV program.

About the Performance TV project:
Is television dead ? or are we living in a post-TV era? Can everyone have their own channel? PTV: Performance TV is an experimental performative programme in the form of a television studio. The starting point is the impact of the medium and its idiom on current artistic practices.
The organisers have invited contemporary artists who employ formats such as soap opera, talk shows, documentary and video clips ? and also those who proclaim the death of television and are out to prove that it is the Internet that has taken over TV?s former function in society. The project draws on the democratic nature of the latter medium, based on the idea that everybody can create their own TV today.
The 2017 instalment of the PTV: Performance TV project has been divided into three parts that will take place on selected weekends in October, November and December. PTV: Performance TV will be broadcast terrestrially through performances, discussions and projections at Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art, as well as throughout the network of a designated Youtube channel to cater for works that use the Internet as their medium of choice.
Chapter 3
In Chapter 3, Jeremy Wade takes on the persona of a female nurse, whose queer talk show advertises a society of the future. We invite you for the premier of the experimental project by Michael Portnoy. You will be able to sign up to take part in personal training conducted online by performers from New York and Amsterdam. Dominika Olszowy will be inviting new guests to her TV studio and Marta Ziółek will create the mystic world of Pamela, a contemporary trickster par excellence.
