Anna Krzyśków dancer | teacher Dancer, teacher, ballet director of the Teatr Wielki in Łódź. She studied dance at the Feliks Parnell State Ballet School in Łódź. After graduating from ballet school she joined the Łódź Opera’s ballet where in 1991 she became a first soloist in the Grand Theatre. There she played many title and solo parts in classical and contemporary ballets. She also graduated in ballet pedagogy from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw; she has completed many courses, seminars and workshops in classical and contemporary dance techniques. She played the unforgettable part of Marina in a ballet performance of Zorba the Greek by Lorca Massine. A meeting with the choreographer – the son of the outstanding dancer and choreographer Leonid Miasin – resulted in a longer-term collaboration. In 1991 she started to work as a teacher and choreographer, among others as a main assistant and répétiteur of choreographies by Lorka Massine and reconstructor and répétiteur of his father’s choreography. To date she has worked on over 30 ballet and opera premieres (choreography, stage movement) for Polish and foreign opera theatres. As a dancer and choreographer she collaborated, among others, with: the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw, the Bolshoi Theatre (Moscow), Wiener Staatsoper, Opéra Garnier (Paris), Teatro alla Scala (Milan), Opera di Roma, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens (Montreal), Cairo Opera House, Greek National Opera (Athens). As a teacher, she has been a lecturer at the Academy of Music in Łódź; she has collaborated with ballet schools, actors and even sportsmen. She was the ballet director of the Baltic Opera; currently she is the ballet director of the Grand Theatre in Łódź. She has twice received a medal from the Łódź International Ballet Festival and a medal from Premium di Danza in Turin. |
