Jan Łukasewicz is a soloist of the Grand Theatre in Łódź. He graduated from the Ballet School in Gdańsk. From 1983 to 1986 he danced with the ballet of the Baltic Opera, and joined the Łódź company in 1986. Among his most important roles are Harlequin inMandragor, Karen in Gayane, pas de deus in Giselle, Devil in Pan Twardowski, Demetrius and Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Amadeus in Amadeus, Till in Till Eulenspiegel, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet, Judas in the rock ballet Próba, Dr Coppelius in Coppélia, Moryc and Muller in The Promised Land, and solo in Requiem.
