Krystyna Zalewska-Traczewska was born in 1930.
She was a ballet soloist at the Łódź Opera House and the Łódź Grand Theatre. She performed solo parts in ballet productions choreographed by the likes of Feliks Parnell, Witold Borkowski, Włodzimierz Traczewski, Kurt Jooss and many other esteemed choreographers who held her talent, commitment and professional integrity in high regard. She was an outstanding interpreter of character parts in both classical and contemporary ballets. In the aftermath of of her dancing career, she spent many years working as a ballet inspector at the Łódź Grand Theatre.
Zalewska-Traczewska passed away on March 31, 2023.
