The 8th edition of the Gdańsk Dance Festival will be dominated by the elements. In June, the Suwnicowa Hall of the Żak Club will be covered by earth and flooded by water, with airborne monsters and fiery dancers floating over it. As in the past, the festival will open with local premieres, to be followed by performances of artists from Poland and abroad. The festival will also include dance and theatre criticism workshops.
The event will conclude with the Solo Dance Contest, an international competition that has attracted 60 applications from dancers from 11 countries. The following performances were selected to be presented before the jury and audience on 8?12 June:

The Gdańsk Dance Festival is organised by the Żak Club. The event is co-financed by the City of Gdańsk and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. The festival is held under the auspices of the Gdańsk Water and Sewage Infrastructure Company.
