Cricoteka ? Centre for Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor invites for the premiere of Kantor. The Tempest choreographed by Anna Godowska and directed by Sławek Krawczyński. This performance is a dance journey into the world of Tadeusz Kantor. This journey was triggered by the fascination with the art of Tadeusz Kantor and a deeply felt intuition, which suggests that this legacy can serve as a source of new artistic potentialities. It is hard to disagree with this notion, especially that our reality feeds on the experience of the past and is defined by it ? by the anger that comes with it, which entails fear for the future. In this context, the premiere of Kantor. The Tempest fits in perfectly with this year?s Rollercoaster: Collectors of Sensations programme curated by Paweł Łyskawa and Eryk Makohon ? stretched between recollection, being here and now and a vision of what may come in the future. Today we are collecting the things that tomorrow will become part of the yesterday.
Kantor. The Tempest is also the first premiere within the framework of Choreographic Commissions 2020 programme organised by the Institute of Music and Dance. The second premiere of this programme is planned for 25 November 2020 and will take place at the Stanisław Moniuszko Grand Theatre in Poznań. This will be the Polish premiere of Alexander Ekman?s Episode 31, which will be presented as part of the BER ballet triptych ? an evening featuring choreographies by Robert Bondara, Alexander Ekman, Martinas Rimeikis.
Three premiere presentations of Kantor. The Tempest in Cricoteka will take place at 7 p.m. between 15?17 October 2020.
