The performance "Glory Game" by Dominik Więcek has been selected for the Aerowaves network.
The performance Glory Game by the Sticky Fingers Club collective and choreographed by Dominik Więcek has been selected for the prestigious Aerowaves network, which annually promotes the most interesting works by young choreographers from all over Europe. The performance will be presented during the Spring Forward Festival in Gorizia (Italy).
This is a unique distinction for the creators and the production, which premiered in December 2023 at Komuna Warszawa. The performance explores the boundaries of the human body and its relationship with the culture of sports, media and competition. It is also a tribute to the physicality and beauty of movement, which draws the viewer into a hypnotic narrative.
Aerowaves is a European network of dance professionals that supports young choreographers, creating opportunities for them to present performances on foreign stages. Every year, Aerowaves members (46 partners in 34 countries) meet to select the most interesting choreographic submissions by young dance creators, who are named priority artists.
It is worth mentioning that Dominik Więcek has been selected for the Aerowaves network for the second time. The previous time was in 2023 with the solo work Café Müller, which was then presented in Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and Romania, among others.
Glory Game with the concept and choreography of Dominik Więcek and the performance of the Sticky Fingers Club collective consisting of Daniela Komędera, Dominika Wiak, Dominik Więcek, Monika Witkowska, Natalia Dinges and Piotr Stanek was also included in the summary of “The best, the best, the best in the 2023/2024 season” by Teatr magazine. Both in the category of Best Choreography and Best Dance Performance.
Congratulations!
