Time Machine is a project organised by the Kameny Artistic Agency. A complete study of Feliks Nowowiejski?s ballets, the project provides an opportunity to present the international milieu with two top quality ballet pieces. The material will be recorded as a double-DVD issue and sent to the major operas and dance theatres in the world in 2016. The project is supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Dance partners: Krakow Dance Theatre,  Ludwik Solski State Theatre School in Cracow/Department of Dance Theatre in Bytom.

The project aims to present the contemporary idea of dance in the rich context of Polish and global culture. The above will be achieved by reclaiming the once acclaimed and now forgotten neo-romantic ballets by Feliks Nowowiejski, and their confrontation with Polish contemporary dance techniques proposed by the representatives of the young generation of dancers guided by Krakow-based choreographer Eryk Makohon.

Director of the Krakow Dance Theatre, Eryk Makohon, will juxtapose traditional ballet music with Polish contemporary dance techniques. The artists will work based on Jacek Łumiński?s technique, which stems from the studies on Polish folklore, chiefly its Podhale and Kurpie variants, and the culture of Polish Hasids.

By recording and promoting Feliks Nowowiejski?s ballets, the Time Machine project contributes to the preservation and popularization of outstanding yet forgotten Polish ballets, of which many are confined to museum archives. The task will conclude by the end of 2016, which sees the 70th anniversary of Nowowiejski?s death and heralds the 140th anniversary of his birth in 2017. Two months prior to the 140th anniversary, directors of all institutions active in the field will have a chance to learn more about the works of the composer and draw inspiration to create their own Nowowiejski-related pieces.

The choreographic and musical planes will be supplemented with exquisite multimedia visuals, adding another dimension to this interdisciplinary venture.

The Time Machine project provisions the participation of eminent artists and authorities in the field, as well as talented young artists.
