We are happy to announce the launch of the European Video Dance Heritage (EVDH), a two-year analysis and experimental programme, coordinated by La Maison de la Danse de Lyon, co-organised by different European cultural structures and several associated partners and supported by the European Union’s Culture programme. The Institute of Music and Dance in Warsaw is EVDH’s proud co-organiser.
The overall goal of our project isto structure a European memory of dance through video and to transmit this heritage to younger generations, taking into account its political, economic, technical, legal and educational dimensions. Our ambition is to imagine in five years’ time a freer circulation of dance video works and an increased collective awareness of the value of the video dance heritage. The increased knowledge, expertise and curiosity of the professionals and the general public of today and tomorrow will be a reflection of the success of such a project.
