On Friday, 25 September 2015 (8 pm), the Polish Dance Theatre will premiere Urszula Bernat-Jałocha?s Perception in Hall 2 of the International Trade Fair in Poznań (ul. Głogowska 14). Perception touches upon group-governing mechanisms, which reflect the picture of modern society. The author wishes to explore the problem of ubiquitous individualism in European culture, incessantly refuelled by large corporations which generate artificial needs and impose superficial distinctiveness on individuals. Working on the performance, the artists have focused on exposing the mechanisms of self-creation, as seen from various perspectives. This has been possible through the use of several screenings executed by different cameras at the same time, and coordinated by Jago Chalcińska, video producer, VJ, producer of several multidisciplinary projects at the juncture of video-art, VJing, and audiovisual performance. The musical layer has been provided by Paul Tinsley, founder of the musical group Violent Yog and author of incidental music to films and theatre performances. Set design has been conceived by Adriana Cygankiewicz, who has worked with such artists as Susanne Jaresand, Jacek Przybyłowicz and Ewa Wycichowska.
