Joanna Czajkowska and Krzysztof ?Leon? Dziemaszkiewicz (Teatr Patrz mi na Usta [Look at My Lips Theatre] began their collaboration in 1995. Although stormy on account of their aesthetic differences, the meeting resulted in a two-year cooperation, as it turned out that the rising star of the Ekspresja Theatre and the budding contemporary dance dancer managed to create a platform for mutual understanding, albeit based on a master-student principles. Twenty years later, the Sopot Dance Theatre has established itself on the contemporary dance scene, and each of the aforementioned artists continue their work, creating ever more recognizable, characteristic individual worlds. Worlds which are divergent in terms of their respective theatrical styles and techniques. For the past 20 years, Dziemaszkiewicz and Czajkowska have been working uninterruptedly, although they have not co-operate in any artistic venture for 18 years. Their reunion as mature and self-aware artists promises to be an artistic and human experiment, producing surprising results. Czajkowska and Dziemaszkiewicz will premiere their new work at the Na Plaży Theatre in Sopot (ul. Mamuszki 2) on 23-24 October (7 pm).

Octopi are dioecious creature, characterized by simple development devoid of the larval stage. Preceded by dances and presentations of mating colours, insemination involves the placement of the male?s spermatophore in the female?s mantle cavity through the hectocotylus. In some species, the hectocotylus detaches itself from the body of the male.
