The Kielce Dance Theatre is making the last preparations for the premiere of La Traviata at the 2014 Israeli Opera Festival, at the foot of Mt. Masada. Apart from the Kielce-based company, the opera, directed by Michał Znaniecki, will feature the Israeli Opera Chorus lead by Ethan Schmeisser, the Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion, and soloists: Elena Mosuc, Aurelia Florian, Celso Albelo, Jean-Frarcois Borras, Ionut Pascu, Guy Mannheim, Noah Briger, Samuel De Beck Spitzer, Carlo Striuli, Shiri Hershkovitz, Mark Sheimer, Anatoli Krasik, and Sorin Semilian.
The Polish artists have spent the last few days rehearsing on the open-air stage at the foot of Masada, an ancient fortification on the eastern edge of the Judaean Desert, overlooking the Dead Sea. La Traviata will be performed on 12, 14, 16, and 17 June 2014 at 9:30pm.
