Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz: Robert Bondara to present Karol Szymanowskis Stabat Mater and Harnasie

Five years after his The Captive Mind, Robert Bondara returns to Bydgoszcz?s Opera Nova to choreograph Karol Szymanowski?s Stabat Mater and Harnasie. The ceremonious premiere marking the 60th anniversary of the Bydgoszcz opera will take place on 22 October 2016 (7 pm). The following night (23 October), a repeat performance will be presented at 6 pm. Bondara has invited stage designer Julia Skrzynecka to contribute to the shows. The two collaborated in Bondara?s previous ballets, such as Persona and Nevermore?? Ballet premiere of Robert Bondara in Opera Śląska

The world of Eastern tales and Greek mythology transferred into modern time ? Opera Śląska has prepared two one-act ballet performances: Scheherazade by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Medea by Samuel Barber. Robert Bondara, the director and choreographer of the performance, is an artist of the Polish National Ballet, a dancer and choreographer. Maciej Tomasiewicz, the music supervisor of the performance, is a conductor from the young generation who has already conducted concerts with the best orchestras in the country. Polish National Ballet?s Robert Bondara has been awarded one of the three main prized at the 2nd Classical and Neoclassical Young Choreographers? The 16th Kielce Dance Festival (16?30 April 2016) will open on Saturday April 16 at 7 pm with the Kielce Dance Theatre?s premiere of a choreographic evening titled Wibracje (Vibrations). Professional Performing Arts Awards is a prestigious prize granted by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture. Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz: Szymanowskis works choreographed by Robert Bondara

Following the summer break, the artistic ensembles of Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz commenced the preparations for the upcoming premieres, Karol Szymanowski?s Stabat Mater and Harnasie, which the Bydgoszcz theater will present for the first time in its sixty-year history.
