Berlin: Presentations of Joanna Leśnierowskas blur performed by Aleksandra Borys
As part of the SBNT on Tour Joanna Leśnierowska will present her piece blur performed by Aleksandra Borys. The performance will be presented three times at Berlin?s DOCK11 Studios (Kastanienallee 79) on 21, 22 and 23 September at 7 am. Poznań: Aleksandra Borys end-of-residency performance and Jeremy Wades lecture
The Arts Stations Foundation is presenting a performance by the second resident visiting Poznań as part of the For Each Gesture Another Character exhibition, which opens the tenth year of the Art Stations Foundation by Grażyna Kulczyk, bringing together for the first time its exhibition and performative programmes. 19 lutego 2014 w Pałacu Krasińskich w Warszawie odbyło się uroczyste wręczenie stypendiów programu „Młoda Polska”. W tegorocznej edycji Minister Bogdan Zdrojewski odznaczył 85 młodych artystów, którzy wykazali się wybitnymi osiągnięciami w reprezentowanych przez siebie dziedzinach (film, fotografia, literatura, muzyka, sztuki wizualne, taniec, teatr). W dziedzinie tańca przyznano 5 stypendiów, w tym dwa na realizację projektów artystycznych: dla Aleksandry Borys (projekt choreograficzny pt. Movementscape) i Karola Miękiny (spektakl teatru tańca pt. Homo Religiosus). Aleksandra Borys and Karol Miękina awarded the Young Poland scholarship
On 19 February 2014 Poland’s culture minister Bogdan Zdrojewski officially awarded the Young Poland [Młoda Polska] scholarships to 85 emerging artists who have displayed outstanding merit in their respective fields: film, photography, literature, music, visual arts, dance, and theatre. Five scholarships were awarded to dance artists. Two will support new productions: Aleksandra Borys’ choreographic project Movementscape and Karol Miękina’s dance theatre piece Homo Religiosus. Three other will be used to pay for tuition at foreign dance schools: thanks to them Lena Obłuska and Stanisław Węgrzyn will attend the Miami City Ballet School’s training programme, while Agnieszka Pędziwiatr will study at the Anton Bruckner...
