Adrian Bartczakis a dancer and choreographer. He competed as ballroom dancer, achieving the highest, class S (in Standard and Latin) and becoming tree-time Polish champion. He represented Poland at European and world championships, winning distinctions at many international competitions.
Currently, Bartczak focuses on contemporary dance. He has trained with Krzysztof Skolimowski, Jacek Owczarek, Witold Jurewicz, Dawid Lorenc, Szymon Osiński, Christophe Jeannot or Anna Maria Krysiak, and taken part in numerous dance workshops and straining opportunities. He also has a rich experience as performer, both in Poland and abroad – he has danced in Miokloniis(directed by Michał Ratajski);Zdarzenia(Happenings; directed by Jacek Owczarek);Tov(directed by Rosanna Gamson);Bachantki,(directed by Tomasz Rodowicz and Robert Hayden);Madame Butterflyat Opera na Zamku in Szczecin (directed by Pia Partum); Medea Materialat the Polish National Opera in Warsaw (directed by Barbara Wysocka);Borderless Split Brain(directed by Minako Seki);Tribe/Zero Point(directed by Sarah Shelton Mann).
Bartczak is a member of the KIJO group and regularly participates in their projects. He also collaborates with Pracownia Fizyczna and CHOREA Theatre.
He also teaches contemporary dance at PS Dance Company, a dance studio.
