Ana Kipshidze is a soloist of the Polish National Ballet. She was born in Tbilisi, Georgia and studied at her hometown’s Vakhtang Chabouktiani State Ballet School, graduating in 2000. For a year she dance as coryphée at the Ballet of the State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Tbilisi, then spent a year (2001-2012) as soloist of the Ballet of the Poznań Opera House, before returning to Tbilisi as soloist and later first soloist. In 2005 she was engaged as soloist by the Ballet of the State Baltic Opera.

 

Since 2008 Ana has been a dancer of the Polish National Ballet: she joined in as a coryphée, then was promoted to soloist in 2014. In Warsaw she has performed many roles in classical and contemporary ballets, including Pas d’action and Gamzatti in La Bayadre; Queen of the Flowers in The Nutcracker; Lady at the Ball in Chopin, the Romantic Artist; Lilac Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty; Fairy Summer and Fairy Godmother in Cinderella; Our-Other Girl in And the Rain Will Pass; Classic Seraphim in Six Wings of Angels; Three Dryads, Grand Pas Variation 1, and Street Dancer in Don Quixote; Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet; as well as many pieces choreographed by PNB dancers as part of their choreographic workshops Creations.
