Andrzej Marek Stasiewicz – first ballet soloist of the Polish National Opera in Warsaw for many years. He graduated from the Gdańsk Ballet School in 1979. As a student, he was employed by the Baltic Opera where he danced as a soloist until 1988. He took part in many ballet competitions: 3th National Dance and Choreography Competition in 1979 (1st place), Ballet Competition in Varna (1980 – finalist), Moscow (1981 – finalist) and in Jackson (USA, 1982 – bronze medal). In 1984 he was a semi-finalist of the World Ballet Competition in Osaka, Japon. Then, he left Poland and in 1988– 1991 he was a soloist of Landstheater in Linz; in 1991–1993 – a soloist of Opernhaus in Graz (Austria). He played: Prince in The Nutcracker choreographed by Peter Schaufuss, Romeo in Romeo and Juliet choreographed by Heinz Spoerli, Soloist in Five tangos choreographed by Hans van Manen. In 1993 he was employed by the Teatr Wielki in Warsaw, at first as a soloist, and since 1994 as a first soloist. There he played many parts in classical and contemporary repertoire as well as semi-classical and character roles. At the same time, in 1996–1999 he was the ballet director at the Baltic Opera.

In 2005 she graduated in ballet pedagogy from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (Faculty of Musical Education). He is a juror of national ballet competitions in Gdańsk, Ballet School Graduates Competition in Szczecin, and of Dance World Cup 2005 (Wrocław). He performed in Bulgaria, France, Canada, Germany, Russia, Romania and Italy; he gusted in Cuba and Peru. He also played in film.

A Mistery of Life and Death), Golden Idol, Head Fakir Magdaveya (La Bayadère), soloist (Komix-komedia)

Leon Woizikovsky Medal, Stansiław Wyspiański Artistic Award for Youth, Vaclav Niijsky Medal, Terpsichore of ZASP, Badge of Merit to Culture, theatre award from Governor of Gdańsk, Bronze and Gold Cross of Merit, Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture “Gloria Artis”.
