Beata Owczarek – dancer and choreographer working in Cracow. Teacher of Iyengar yoga.
She started work in the field of dance in the 80’s in Jacek Tomasik’s Kontrast Student Dance Theatre. In 1994–1997 she collaborated with the Silesian Dance Theatre in Bytom. Her first performance in Bytom was Line dance with Marek Haim’s choreography.
In 1998 she founded in Cracow – together with Artur Dobrzański – TOK – Theatre of Open Creation. The group consisted of Janusz Skubaczkowski, Gabriela Kramarczyk, Barbara Patoczka. TOK performed, among others, at Tanzmesse (Essen, Germany, 2000), the 1st International Chopin and Friends Festival (New York, 1999) and at the International Contemporary Dance Conference in Bytom.
