Katarzyna Kizior dancer, pedagogue, choreographer. She began her professional education as a student of ballet and folk dance at the Feliks Parnell Ballet School in Łódź. Her interest in performing arts led her to study at an artistic high school, where she specialized in theatre and film, and to continue her education at the University of Humanities and Economics in Łódź, where she explored the impact of society and politics on culture, arts and corporeality. Kizior completed pedagogical studies at the HfMDK Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt.
In 2006-2013, she collaborated with the Zawirowania Dance Theatre in Warsaw, co-creating performances with Michał Piróg and Elwira Piorun. In the Teatr Wielki Polish National Opera in Warsaw, she collaborated with such artists as Maja Kleczewska and Barbara Wysocka.
The strength and value of Kiziors experience stem from the diversity of genres which she has encountered in her professional career. Beginning with classical dance, she then moved towards contemporary dance, exploring such techniques as contact improvisation, release, GaGa, floor work and modern.
Kizior regularly creates choreographies for professional dancers, actors, musicians and sportspeople. She has gained significant pedagogical experience teaching amateurs, the youth, children and the disabled.
Since 2008, she has worked as a choreographer with the TV show You Can Dance Po prostu tańcz.
