Magdalena Paszkiewicz – dancer, choreographer. She completed a Qualification Course for Contemporary Dance Instructors in Łódź. Since the late 90’s she has been a member of PRO Dance Theatre founded by Katarzyna Matryka and Katarzyna Grambo. In 2007 she became the leader of the group. Currently she is the head of the group together with Justyna Sobieraj-Bednarek – dancer and musician. The group works under the patronage of Theatre Centre of the Łódź Community Centre. To date, she has produced, together with the Theatre and Justyna Sobieraj, three performances: BorderLine (2007), Mafia (2008) and Roboczogodziny czyli Kobiecość Krańcowa (2008).
At the same time she has produced projects with other theatres, mainly from Łódź and the region: Art. 51, Dziewięćsił Theatre Group, AteTe Academic Dance Theatre (performance Meandering River).
In 2009 Paszkiewicz took part in preliminary rounds of SoloDuo Festival – with her solo Inner Room (choreography by Anna Banach). In November 2010, together with Mariola Benesz, she produced for Benesz a solo choreography 3D of Me. The choreography also took part in preliminary rounds of SoloDuo in Warsaw, and in 2011 reached the final of the festival in Budapest. At the festival the artists represented Poland and the Łódź Community Culture.
In 2010 Paszkiewicz produced Upadek, PSYCHO-SOMATIC GAYm for Janusz Adam Biedrzycki from Chorea Theatre Association. Paszkiewicz directed the performance and created its script; the choreography was created by Paszkiewicz, together with Janusz Adam Biedrzycki. The premiere of took place in August at the 1st Theatre Festival RETRO/PER/SPEKTYWY in Łódź.
In 2007 and 2008 Paszkiewicz was granted individual awards at Łópta Review of Amateur Theatres in Łódź for dance and acting in Roboczogodziny… and for direction and scenario for BorderLine. Both performances were produced with PRO Dance Theatre.
