Marta Fiedler – first soloist of the Polish National Ballet. In 1999 she graduated from the Ballet School in Poznań and joined, as a coryphaeus, the Grand Theatre in Poznań, where in 2000 she was promoted to the position of soloist and, in 2003 – to the position of first soloist. In the season 1997/98 she was awarded Prime Minister’s Scholarship for academic achievement and in the season 1998/99 – Artistic Scholarship of the Ministry of Culture and Arts. In 1999 she was also awarded Olga Sławska-Lipczyńska Award and in 2004 – Young Art Medal for her parts in classical and contemporary ballets.
While working for the Grand Theatre in Poznań, she performed in Swan Lake, Lieder by Richard Strauss, Giselle, Les Sylphides, Harnasie, Ballade G minor, Scherzo C sharp minor by Chopin, Zorba the Greek, Le Spectre de la Rose, Scheherazade, The Four Seasons, Master Twardowski, Ballets by Marek Róźycki, Third Symphony by Penderecki, Don Quixote, The Rehearsal and Ninth Symphony by Beethoven as well as in other pieces. In September 2004 she joined the ballet of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw as a soloist. In 2005, as a guest artist, she played Mercedes in the premiere The Count of Monte Cristo reconstructed by the Grand Theatre in Poznań, directed by Waldemar Wołek-Karaczewski. With the Polish National Ballet she created outstanding parts, such as: Aegina in Spartacus, Tatiana in Onegin, Anna Karenina in Anna Karenina, Osilde in Tristan and George Sand in Chopin.
