Niels Claes – graduate of Fontys Dansacademy Tilburg, the Netherlands. He started his artistic education with practicing rhythmic gymnastics in the national team of Belgium. As a student, he collaborated, among others, with Leine and Roebana, Club guy and Roni as well as choreographers: Johan Greben, Jelena Kostic, Chau Phan Yung, Giz Bilgen and Josephine Voets. He was also an intern in Dansgroep Amsterdam, Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Project Sally and Dansnest, the Netherlands. He danced with Dansgroep Amsterdam in choreographies by: Krisztina de Chatel, Andonisa Foniadakis, Natashy Rodin and Kelly Hirina. He danced as a soloist at Guangdong Modern Dance Festival, China. He was also a guest performer in the project Aafje Franken at Laban Conference 2008.
In the season 2011/2012 he joined the Polish Dance Theatre, as a soloist. He has performed in: Minus 2 (choreography by Ohad Naharin), B@ttle Between Carnival and Lent, FootBall@… (choreography by Ewa Wycichowska) and Desert (choreography by Paulina Wycichowska).
