Szymon Osiński – dancer and choreographer. He started to study dance in Busters – Contemporary Dance Group in Łódź. He has taken part in numerous workshops and competitions in various dance techniques, e.g. contemporary dance, jazz, modern jazz, modern jazz underground, funky, hip-hop. As a dancer and choreographer, he collaborated with Twister Art Agency and V6 Theatre – the first private theatre in Łódź. Since then he has taken part in numerous dance events – both large and small – starting from big music and dance shows to small contemporary dance performances. His dance is inspired by both contemporary dance and jazz techniques as well as others.
The artist performed in the first Polish dance show OpenTaniec (2003, direction and choreography by Jarosław Stańko, Musical Theatre in Gdynia) and in other Stańko’s performances, such as Carmen TV (Sacrum Profanum Festival, 2006, Cracow), Vichry (multimedia dance show presented in Warsaw, Bratislava and Prague, 2006). He also took part in Stańko’s performances in Warsaw theatres, including Syrena Theatre (Tango Operita: Szare Kwiaty by Roman Kołakowski, 2006) and Krystyna Janda’s Polonia Theatre (Dancing by Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska, 2008; Janda also performed in the performance). He also featured the first Polish dance film, directed by Bruce Parramore, Kochaj i tańcz.
Since 2004, he has collaborated, as a co-choreographer and dancer with Zawirowania Dance Theatre from Warsaw. He performed in Przytul mnie, Po godzinach…, Chopin Ambiente, Innocent When You Dream and Fuera de campo. These performances were presented at numerous festivals in Poland and abroad. He collaborated, as a performer and co-choreographer, with the Cracow Dance Company (Pinakolada, 2008). As a dancer, he featured performances of Dariusz Lewandowski’s Kompania Primavera from Warsaw (Ostatnie takie lato, Madryt 03, Poczekalnia and others). he created Duet…with Katarzyna Kizior, also a permanent contributor of Zawirowania.
As a choreographer, he created Międzyczasie (2007), together with Dance Art Studio from Cracow. In the famous Studio Harmonic (Paris) – a place to study many contemporary and modern dance as well as body work techniques – he took classes from Thierry Verger, specializing in modern jazz underground technique. After these classes, Ossowski became Polish assistant of Verger and performed in Veloce, presented in Poland, France and Monaco.

Osiński regulary dances at Dramatyczny (Drama) Theatre, Polonia Theatre, Stara ProchOFFnia, Na Woli Theatre in Warsaw and Groteska Theatre in Cracow.
He is also a dance teacher – instructor of such techniques as jazz, modern jazz, modern jazz underground. He runs workshops in Warsaw and throughout Poland (intermediate level).
