On 7-8 Septmber 2016 (7 pm), Uferstudios (Studio 1, Uferstraße 8) in Berlin will host the premiere presentations of the new piece by Koncentrat Artistic Group.
When I am we is another project of Koncentrat Artistic Group carried out both in Warsaw and in Berlin, with the participation of both Polish and German artists and financed by institutions supporting such collaboration. It is also yet another project of the Group which focus on the persona of performer-dancer as the main creator of a dance piece for whom choreography is a context, theme, subject, inspiration but not a task to be unconditionally performed.
The subject of the piece is being together as a basic element of the human condition. Humans are allegedly social animals and cannot function outside groups. How much does it cost to be together? How much and to which degree are we willing/able to pay that price? Does being together ever really take place? What does it even mean ?together??
When I am we penetrates those issues by sharing (albo ?through shared?) dance practice ? between the performers themselves and between the performers and the audience.
